Free Life Coaching and Self-Development Lessons
As the Word of God is a living text, people have different ways of interpreting these texts. So, feel free to share your thoughts and opinions down in the comments below! Remember to like and share on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!
“You shall do [the same] to Ai and its king as you did to Jericho and its king; [except that] you shall take only its spoil and its cattle as plunder for yourselves. Set up an ambush for the city behind it [on the west side].’”– Joshua 8:2 AMP
Achan’s sins caused the Israelites to fail the defeat Ai the first time they tried to conquer them. (Joshua 7)
After dealing with Achan, God gave the Israelites a second chance at conquering Ai.
And This Time, They Knew Better
So how can you apply this in your own life?
Sometimes, we find ourselves in familiar valleys.
And it’s for very good reasons, most times.
It’s the same as learning a new word. You say it to yourself again and again. You spell it out over and over.
What better way to internalize something than to repeat it?
Similarly, we go through the same patterns in our lives sometimes.
And here is the most important takeaway of today’s lesson. If there isn’t any other thing you remember from today, remember this:
It’s Pretty Damn Important!
If God makes you repeat your curriculum, then it probably contains some life-altering secrets.
For those who have an anxious heart (like me), don’t fret! Don’t be afraid of forgetting what you learned the first time.
The most relevant lessons will often surface when you need them the most.
Instead of worrying, you should be praising God. Thank the Heavens that our God is a merciful one!
