Song: Blessings by Lecrae ft. Ty Dolla $ign

As the Word of God is a living text, people have different ways of interpreting these texts. So, feel free to share your thoughts and opinions down in the comments below! Remember to like and share on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!

Before Joshua and the Israelites stepped into Jericho, they spent 3 nights on the other side of the river.

“1 Early in the morning Joshua and all the Israelites set out from Shittim and went to the Jordan, where they camped before crossing over. 2 After three days the officers went throughout the camp,”

– Joshua 3:1-2 NIV

There may have been many reasons for them doing so. They might have been sharpening their blades or meditating and praying.

Either way, whatever the case, they were preparing to attack Jericho.

You Need to Prepare for Your Attacks

I didn’t state what kind of attacks: Either you are attacking or being attacked.

For some of us who get anxious, those whose default setting is ‘anxious personality’, all the more we should prepare for battles. Otherwise, we shouldn’t have peace of mind.

This is especially true when you’ve been through some emotional crises; they lead to self-discovery

To manage future crises, you know you have to prepare.

How to Prepare for Battles?

There are many things you can do to prepare for your battles: Praying, exercising, doing something fun, gathering opinions…

The list goes on.

Ultimately, when we look at why we prepare for battles, it culminates in certainty.

We want to be certain we will win.

It’s only human to crave certainty. It’s not healthy if you’re obsessed with the unknown.

I’m going to let you in on a secret: We win.

If you believe and declare the Lord Jesus is your savior, you’ve already won.

Why? Because we’re going to rest our heads on the clouds in heaven.

Call to Action

Prepare for your battles by doing this mindfulness activity:

Remind yourself you belong to Christ. Do things that keeps your focus away from how you’re going to lose, how you’re not strong enough, how they’re so much better equipped to defeat you. They may include exercising or cooking or whatever it is.
But most importantly, keep in mind that your place is above with the Most High God.

God bless you and keep fighting! 💪
