Song: Reckless Love by Cory Asbury
As the Word of God is a living text, people have different ways of interpreting these texts. So, feel free to share your thoughts and opinions down in the comments below! Remember to like and share on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!
10 We have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea[a] for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amorites east of the Jordan, whom you completely destroyed.[b]11 When we heard of it, our hearts melted in fear and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below.
– Joshua 2:10-11 NIV
People tell you your life is going to be hard when you say you want to be a designer, when you try to be a single parent, when you come from a humble background, when you…
People will always tell you you can’t make it.
That’s a normal thing for toxic people to do: They like to scrutinize other people’s plans and find flaws in them.
They’re always looking for a way for your plan to fail, for you to fail.
You’ve been hearing all these things since you were a child.
The economy will only get more cutthroat as you get older.
Technology will make your future relationships a living nightmare.
The income disparity will only exacerbate more intensely.
People will try to put you down. But God is fighting for you.
How Can This Help Me to Manage My Emotions?
Most of the time, people say these things to you not because of something you did wrong, but because of their own insecurities and dysfunction; they’re projecting their own insecurities on you.
They made a mistake picking on you, however. When they project on you, they’re projecting on someone who is near to God.
When they hear about your God, they will tremble.
The reputation of God precedes you.
If you are facing some verbal assaults at work or home, dear near to God.
When the proof of the living God manifests in your life, His presence will emanate off you.
Call to Action
Drawing near to God is a daily, explicit process.
Most of the time when you ask God to come into your life, it’s more for yourself than for God to hear.
a) It’s because He already knows you need Him.
b) It is to humble your soul before God.
God bless you and draw near to Him!
